Do you think cop killers should be punished more harshly than your regular murderer?

Im asking because a deputy was killed this morning in my area. It's really sad because he had 5 kids. But my thing is that a lot of people that are murdered have kids and I think all murderers should be punished harshly, not just cop killers. What do you think?
