I'm confused.. I thought he was interested!?

So, we had a date over a week ago and hit it off.. ended up talking for nearly 6 hours. He kept texting me and added me on facebook, and we had a 2nd date planned, but he had to cancel because his family needed him home. We texted all weekend and he even sent a text that he had a drink that reminded him of me (the same drink I'd ordered the first date).. This week I texted him a few times about doing something and he was like.. I'm down (to coffee or bagels) and yeah I'll consider (to a hike). I didn't text him for over a day and a half, because I didn't want to keep pestering, but I texted him today asking how it's going.. We're both in college so I ume he may be busy, but for 2 weeks before the first date he texted me daily (like 5-10 times a day).. He continued texting me that much for a few days after the date but I don't know anymore if he's interested or if he's just busy. Should I call, text, or give up?
